Verlinvest Open office view

The home is also the center of the client’s social circle – it is the perfect setting for all occasions, for as one walks through the space, it is almost as if the walls recede into oblivion to make way for what lies within – eclectic tchotchkes, glimmers of verdure and seas of indigo.

The space belongs to Verlinvest, a multinational investment company with office across the globe  including cities such as Brussels, London, New York and Singapore. This 1800 sq ft space perched on top of Platina, with a dreamy view of the airport in far sight, marks Verlinvet's first office in India. Being a young firm with transparency and trust at their core, Verlinvest wanted a space that would reflect just that. The brief was simple - to create a space with honesty. With no hierarchy and minimal layers in communication, Verlinvest knew that their space needed to be one which would attract like minded individuals.

In order to seamlessly reflect the ethos mentioned above, we, at DKDS, chose to create a layout that  was inviting and non traditional. In conjuction with our clients, we decided to forego a traditional reception desk, have no cabins and we introduced a quirky cafeteria. Our material choices were simple - we used wood for wood and well, brick for brick. To further Verlinvest's policy of transparency, no  material was clad without reason and was shown off - as is. The walls were only plastered and then painted, without any additional POP work. We also left the slab exposed and designed the services accordingly. Bare, in the truest sense.

To further Verlinvest's policy of transparency, no material was clad without reason and was shown off - as is
The various textures that run through the office vary from that of a beautiful teak veneer, to a metallic conduit in the cafeteria, fabric clad partitions in the conference room and phone booth, to a natural PU coating on the bison. The slab features tension lines that have been left untouched, lending a character that is unique to the space.
The aesthetic is raw, minimal and yet warm. With a lot of wood and metal, the space lies perfectly between the transition from traditional to modern - a shoutout to Verlinvest's young energy that invests in family owned evergreen brands.
