Perched high above Mumbai in Indiabulls Blu, Worli, Skyshore is an 1,800 sq ft residence  for a young family of three. Conceived as a calm retreat from the energy of the city, the home draws inspiration from its spectacular sea-facing setting, translating the fluidity of the coast into a language of soft curves, organic forms, layered textures and muted coastal hues.

The intention was never to create a literal beach house, but rather to capture the feeling of being by the sea—light, expansive, relaxed and quietly luxurious.

The home brings together cool white marble, warm timber, lime plaster, woven textiles and carefully chosen accents to create a palette that feels both contemporary and tactile. Undulating lime-plaster walls and textured surfaces introduce movement, while bespoke furniture and custom-designed curtains give each room a distinctly tailored character.

Art collected by the family plays an equally important role, bringing colour, personality and a sense of history into an otherwise restrained material palette.

Pieces by artists including F.N. Souza and Jayasri Burman sit alongside sculptural lighting and handcrafted details, allowing the home to feel collected rather than decorated.
